West Indies announced the itinerary for the upcoming home series against India, with the first of the four-Test series starting on July 21 in Antigua. The action will then shift to Jamaica on July 30 and St. Lucia on August 9 before the final Test is played at Trinidad from August 18.

The nearly two-month-long tour will include a two-day practice match and a three-day warm-up game at St. Kitts from July 9 and 14 respectively. Roland Holder, Head of operations at the West Indies Cricket Board, said that the venues "are ready to host the visiting Indian team." The series initially was in doubt after the West Indies pulled out of the India tour midway in 2014. As a result, the Board of Control for Cricket in India imposed a penalty of $41.97 million as damages which was later waived off.It was also revealed that the West Indies would return in 2017 to 'complete' the series.

India are likely to depart to the Carribean with a new coaching staff for which the BCCI advertised on Wednesday (June 1). The coach could likely be unveiled on June 25 in Dharamsala during the BCCI's working committee meeting. The last time India toured West Indies, they won the three-match Test series 1-0 and the five-match One-Day International series 3-2.
