HTC VP and Executive indicted for leaking upcoming smartphone UI



According to the recent reports by The Wall Street Journal, HTC’s Senior Executive and Vice President of Product Design Thoma Chien along with five other HTC employees has been indicted in Taiwan for leaking HTC’s secrets. According to the reports, Thomas Chien has leaked HTC’s Upcoming Smartphone Interface Designs to a partner, along with whom he was planning to start a new business. Reportedly Chien has been charged for falsifying expenses and receiving kickbacks from suppliers.

Back in the month of August, Thomas Chien and five other HTC Employees were arrested regarding these charges. The reports claimed that the interface which Chien leaked were of HTC’s upcoming Sense 6.0. Well currently there are no more details about the five other HTC employees who are facing these charges.

HTC has declined to comment on Chien or other five HTC employees. According to HTC:
