The Mulee Aage Palace dates back to the early 20th century and stands adorned with intricate carvings.

Built by Sultan Mohamed Shamsuddeen III, for his son, this palace today serves as the office of President. For the art aficionados, there is Esjehi Art Gallery that displays the traditional as well as contemporary artwork of the people of Maldives. Since Male has no beach of its own, an Artificial Beach has been created there, which today forms one of the most popular hangouts of the younger generation. Other places in Maldives that are worth having a look at include the Fish Market, Hukuru Miskiiy (the oldest mosque in Maldives) and Jumhooree Maidan.

if u plan a maldives a maldives trip, i would like to suggest andamans, its really cheap and better. I have heard maldives people are annoyingly rigid.
