In yet another incident of rash driving, a private jeep atop blue beacon (PB12A- 1062), driven by Sub Inspector Gurmeet Singh, hit a Honda Activa (PB11U-8788) near Rajindra Hospital, Patiala, last night in which one boy died while the other received serious injuries. SI Gurmeet Singh is posted in Mansa.
Ashudeep Singh died on his way to the hospital while Rampal Singh has been admitted at Amar Hospital. His condition is still critical.
According to eyewitnesses, Gurmeet Singh came out of his car when the incident took place. But when people asked him to take the injured to hospital, he allegedly threatened the crowd.
