Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh (35) today wed Bollywood actor Geeta Basra in a traditional and grand affair. The “anand karaj” took place at a gurdwara on the Phagwara-Jalandhar highway.
Basra wore a traditional red and gold dress designed by Surat-based designer Archana Kocchar. Harbhajan complemented Basra by wearing a red and white outfit. Both were reported to have been in a relationship for six years.
Calling it a special day, Bhajji said he was happy that it had finally arrived. “Geeta is a great human being and I am happy to have her in my life,” he said after the “anand karaj”.
Among those who attended the wedding were Mumbai Indians (MI) chief mentor and former Indian cricket captain Sachin Tendulkar, his wife Dr Anjali, Aakash Ambani, son of Reliance Industries CMD Mukesh Ambani, IS Bindra, former BCCI chief, former cricketer Mohammad Kaif, Punjabi singers Hans Raj Hans, his son Yuvraj, Gippy Grewal and Jassi Sidhu, and Congress leader Sukhpal Khaira.
The gala wedding extended for over five days. Around six chefs were flown in from European countries to prepare a cuisine with over 300 dishes.

Bouncers spoil party
