The relationship between GTA V and PC has been more will-they-won’t-they than the average American sitcom couple, but Rockstar has finally confirmed a happy ever after for the two.

In a tweet last night, the Scottish development company confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 5 will be arriving on both PC and next-gen consoles in Autumn of this year…

When the PS4 version of the game was announced in Sony’s E3 press conference last night, we held our breaths, but just minutes later, Rockstar confirmed the game will also be coming on PC and Xbox One.

A new trailer was also unveiled for the game, so we can check out how the graphical improvements on PC and next-gen have improved the already gorgeous looking title.

Grand Theft Auto V for PC will also feature a video editor designed for advanced movie-making.

The optimisation for Grand Theft Auto IV was pretty terrible, so we'd hope Rockstar has improved in this respect with GTA V, especially since they'll have had a year to work on the port when it eventually launches later in 2014. That being said, with the next-gen visuals, we wouldn't be surprised to see minimum requirements from Rockstar in the same kind of range as Watch Dogs, although we'd expect in reality to be able to run on slightly lower specs than that, with tweaked graphical settings. With the vast open world, RAM requirements are likely to be pretty high, and we'd expect to see 4GB minimum, probably twinned with a decent dual-core or even quad-core processor and something like a GTS 250/ HD 6670 for graphics.

GTA 5 Minimum Predicted System Requirements

OS: Win Vista SP2 64bit / Win 7 SP1 64bit / Win 8 64bit

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 / AMD Phenom II X2 545 3.0Ghz

Hard Drive: 20GB

GPU RAM: 512MB VRAM and DX 11 capable GFX with Shader Model 5.0 capable tech
