Nail artists at the 17th annual Beauty World Expo in Tokyo added some 'blink' to the bling on their fingertips, with the help of tiny paste-on LED (light-emitting diode) lights. Jointly produced by Japan's T-ARTS Company and Curling JP, this product can be easily applied by any nail artist as it comes in the form of a sticker the size of a fingernail. The coat, which is only 0.5 mm thick, includes a tiny circuit which detects low frequency radio waves commonly used in automatic payment systems and tolls, which then powers the tiny LED lights.
