Punjab News Furniture for all pry schools in Punjab within 2 months

All Primary Schools are set to get furniture within two months as the Punjab government sanctioned Rs 60 crore for over 4000 primary schools in the state.

Stating this, an official spokesman said that Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal took keen interest in this project to ensure that no primary student sits on 'Taat' (mat) and every school was provided proper furniture. He said that over 11.92 lakh Primary school students studying in the government primary schools would be provided furniture.

He said that with the continuous growth of the country, the living standard in the rural and urban areas was also improving, due to which children in government schools at primary level who had to sit on 'Taats' got an inferiority complex. He said that this scheme would help them to bring government schools at par with model schools.
