Fruit Salad:yum


Ingredients
  • In a bowl, combine the following fruits, chopped into bite-sized pieces:
  • 1 pear
  • 1 apple
  • 1 mango
  • 1 papaya
  • 1 cup pineapple, fresh or canned
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1 cup grapes, halved
  • 1 large banana
Preparation No prior preparation is required. Instructions
  1. 1. In a bowl, combine the following fruits, chopped into bite-sized pieces.
  2. 2. This should yield about 6 cups of chopped fruit. If you have more or less, adjust the amount of spices below accordingly. You can substitute other fruits as your taste and seasonal availability dictate.
  3. 3. Add the following spices:
  4. 2 TBS sugar
  5. 2 teaspoons chat masala
  6. 2 teaspoons roasted cumin seeds, finely ground
  7. 2 teaspoons lime juice
  8. 1/2 - 1 teaspoon hot red pepper powder
  9. 1/2 teaspoon salt
