A computer engineering girl student from Jammu, embarrassed by her objectionable
photographs and vulgar comments posted by
her college-mates, committed suicide by hanging herself from the fan of her room
here Police have arrested two youths accused named in her suicide note who are said to
have been students of the same college. Raksha Sharma, a student of computer
engineering at Mehar Chand Polytechnic
College, Tuesday evening ended her life in
room number 19 of the girls’ hostel of college
leaving behind a suicide note which said that
Deepak Saini, a BBA Student of DAV College
and Lovepereet Singh, a student of the MCM
Polytechnic, had posted some objectionable
pictures and vulgar comments on her
Facebook profile due to which she was
feeling let down and embarrassed.
An attendant noticed the hanging dead body
of Raksha and informed College Principal B B
Sharma who in turn informed the Police.
The girl, who had lost her parents in a
terrorist attack, was earlier studying in a
Children Home at Gole Gujral in Jammu. It has
been learnt that the girl was sent to Jalandhar
for further studies by the Children Home. She
was here at Jalandhar for the last two years.
