Recipes For Fruit Salad

Fruit and Nut Salad

You Will Need

  • 1 large Apple
  • 1 large Pear
  • 1 large Orange
  • 3 tbsp White Wine Vinegar
  • 1/3 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • Lettuce Leaves
  • ½ cup Pecans (chopped)
Instructions

  • You can begin by slicing the apple and pear thinly. As for the orange, you will have to peel it and slice it as thinly as you possibly can. Make it a point to retain the juice that flows out of the orange when you slice it.
  • Find yourself a large bowl and add the sliced fruit to it. Toss the fruits for a while.
  • In a separate bowl, add the vinegar, oil and honey, in respective proportions. With a spoon, stir the ingredients until you have a uniform mixture of vinegar, oil and honey.
  • Pour this mixture into the bowl containing fruits and mix again.
  • Get yourself six lettuce leaves. Wash and clean the leaves and place them on a large plate. Arrange fruit on each of the six leaves.
  • For that final effort, sprinkle chopped pecans onto the fruit and lettuce leaves. Your ‘Fruit and Nut’ salad is ready.
Fruit and More Fruits Salad

You Will Need

  • 3 Bananas
  • 2 Oranges
  • 1 Mango (ripe)
  • 1 Apple
  • A bunch of Green Grapes
  • ¼ cup Pomegranate Seeds
  • 1 Guava
  • A handful of Cherries (canned)
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • ½ cup Sugar
Instructions

  • The ‘fruit and more fruit salad’ includes quite a number of fruits and hence the name. However, this shouldn’t stop you from trying out this iconic salad recipe, for at the end of it all, your efforts will be rewarded with great taste.
  • You can start by peeling and chopping all fruits, except the bananas and apples. The bananas and apples can go in last because these are the fruits, which are most likely to go brown if left exposed for long.
  • Add limejuice to the rest of the fruits and mix well. Proceed to heat a cup of water over a medium flame, add the sugar to the water and wait until it melts.
  • Once the sugar syrup cools, pour it over the fruits and place it in the refrigerator. Wait for an hour or so before you take the fruits out.
  • Once the stipulated time is over, take out the fruits and add chopped bananas and apples to it. Serve immediately.
  • If you want to give the sugar and the extra calories a skip, you can use salt and chaat masala as an alternative.

  • Add the grapes, oranges, nuts and marshmallows to the apples and toss.
  • Once done, add the sugar and whipped cream to the bowl. Mix well. Serve immediately.
