atttack in London has got financial support from NRI's to bring back the dead body of the boy following Parvasi Radio in Toronto Canada highlighted the plight of family, published by PunjabNewsline.com on May 30.

An apeal made by Parvasi Radio to its listeners moved the heart of Punjabi NRI's and they came forward to contribute funds for the family through Parvasi Sahayata Foundation.


Punjab government headed by Parkash Singh Badal had turned a deaf ear to the demand of family for financial aid of about 6000 ponds to bring back the dead body from London.Ranjit Singh Brahmpura rural development minister who belonged to Tarn Taran also gave afalse hope to the family to get requireds funds from Chief Minister's fund.


Jasbir Kaur, mother of deceased Harjit Singh Nijaar, belonging to Kallha village, 15 kilometers from Tarn Taran have been waiting the dead body of her son with tears in his eyes and gloomy face. Harjit Singh left for London in February, 2010. He was student of management technology in business academy London.



Rajinder Saini the MD and Chairman of Radio Parvasi and Parvasi Sahayta Foundation informed that Foundation has decided to bear all the expenses of bringing dead body of harjit Singh who belonged to poor family. Saini said that as an immediate relief, they have deposited Rs.one lakh in the account of Harjit Singh's mother. He said that the second post mortem of the dead body ws conducted yesterday and it is expected that dead body will be released in a day or so. He said that dead body will be flown to Punjab as early as possible.


Earlier Harjit singh's father Wassan Singh, mother Jasbir Kaur and his brother Ranjit Singh, told the ‘Punjab Newsline’ that they sent letters to the Indian High Commission England, Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh, Preneet Kaur Union State Minister for External affairs, Punjab chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, Chairman Punjab State Human Rights commission and other authorities to help them as the government has demanding 6,000 pounds to send the body of their son to India. Family members said that Satwant Singh Johal deputy commissioner Tarn Taran had forwarded their request to chief secretary of Punjab after enquiry. But no response was received from state government.
