Detonators’ found in Dehradun

Traffic on the busy Rajpur road was disrupted following the information of a bomb on Dilaram Chowk here tonight. According to police officials, the bomb disposal squad of the Uttarakhand police received the information at 8 pm that a black bag having some wires was lying abandoned near Dilaram Chowk.

The squad, along with two fire tenders, immediately reached the spot and traffic on the busy through fare was stopped.
Darshan Lal Kothiyal, head of the bomb disposal squad, said following the X-ray of the bag it was found that there were no explosives in it but some ‘detonator-type objects with wires’ were found. Some clothes and papers were also found in the bag. Later, the traffic was resumed on the busy road.
