Punjab News Dead after an attempt to catch a foul ball

A baseball fan has died while trying to catch a foul ball after falling over a safety railing and plunging 6.1m at a Texas stadium.
Shannon Stone, 39, fell trying to catch a ball tossed into the stands during a match between the Texas Rangers and Oakland Athletics at Rangers Stadium in Texas on Friday, CBS News reports.
Footage shows Mr Stone lean over the rail to catch the ball, thrown into the stands by star Rangers player Josh Hamilton after a foul ball hit by Oakland player Conor Jackson.
But as he catches the ball Mr Stone tumbles over the rail and plunges head-first into the space between the stands and the scoreboard, landing on concrete.
He was rushed to hospital but died about an hour after the fall.
Mr Stone's mother Suzanne Stone said he had gone to the match to try and catch a ball for his six-year-old boy Cooper, and had even bought the young baseball fan a new glove for the game.
"That's what they were there for, was to catch a ball," the 63-year-old said.
Mr Stone leaves behind his young son and a 36-year-old wife.
It is the second fatal fall at a major league baseball park in the US this year.
