You have the misfortune to own an unreliable clock. This one loses exactly 24 minutes every hour. It is now showing 3:00am and you know that is was correct at midnight, when you set it. The clock stopped 1 hour ago, what is the correct time now?

(clock loses 24 mins each hour)

till 3 pm clock loses

24*3=72 min
and 1 hour ago it's stopped.
so 72+60=132 min
means two hour and twelve minutes
so
time now is
3:00+2:12=5:12

so time now is 5:12 am

not 6:00 am

3 pm is not the time.. it is what the clock is showing.. therefore the clock is showing 180 mins past 12.. now to find the actual time divide 180/36 (because 36 mins a/c to clock should equal 1 hour), which gives you 5.. 5+1 = 6
