As per the data issued by Election Commission of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan has been selected as the richest Parliamentarian. The declaration comes as he posses agriculture land of Rs 1.43 billion. He has invested over Rs 13 million. He has also Rs 126 million in 7 bank accounts. He made billions of rupees to just a few lakhs.
According to a London-based economic and business research group, the Center for Economics and Business Research (CEBR), China will be the world largest economy in 2028. To become the world’s largest economy, it’s expected that China will be overtaking the US in 2028 whereas India will overtake Japan for the third place. The research showed that gross domestic product (GDP) of China in dollars would leave behind the US in 2028.

Finally a big relief for Narendra Modi as he has got clean chit in Gujarat riots case. An Ahmedabad court rejected late Congress MP Ehsan Jafri’s wife Zakia Jafri’s filed petition against the closure report of Special Investigation Team (SIT) which gave BJP’s prime ministerial candidate and Chief Minister of Gujarat, Modi clean chit in connection with the 2002 post-Godhra riots case. Ehsan Jafri was among those 69 people who were killed in the Gulberg Society massacre in Ahmedabad. More than thousand people were killed in 2002 Gujarat riots.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal has been finally sworn in as Chief Minister of Delhi. He took oath as Delhi’s seventh Chief Minister (CM) by promising a corruption-free govt and also new style of governance without arrogance of power. Kejriwal, Delhi CM also allocated portfolios to his 6 Cabinet colleagues whereas Finance, Home, Vigilance and Power departments kept with himself. He also kept Planning and Services department with himself. Manish Sisodia will handle PWD, Revenue, Education, Urban Development, Higher Local Bodies, Education and Land and Building departments while Rakhi Birla, youngest minister of Kejriwal’s Cabinet, has been given the charges of Social Welfare and Women and Child Development departments with the additional charge to invent steps for enhancing security of women.

Appointment
Senior IPS officer Arvind Ranjan has been named as newly appointed full-time chief of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). He will replace J N Choudhury. Ranjan, a 1977-batch officer of Kerala cadre will take over the charge of CISF from Thursday.

Animal rights campaigner PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has named Shashi Tharoor, the Union Minister of State for HRD as PETA’s coveted honour “Person of the Year” for initiating steps for animal protection. Before him, actors R Madhavan and Hema Malini were previous recipients of PETA’s India’s Person of the Year award. Tharoor has motivated the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) to study PETA’s Central Board of Secondary Education approved-’Compassionate Citizen humane’ -education programme for inclusion into its textbooks.

Death
Leader of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), Atul Sarpotdar has passed away after a brief illness. He died at the age of 51. He was admitted at Leelavati Hospital in Mumbai due to blood sugar-related problems. MNS chief Raj Thackeray’s old associate Sarpotdar was the General Secretary (GS) and Chief Coordinator of Marathwada in MNS.
Farooq Sheikh, eminent and veteran bollywood actor has passes away after a cardiac arrest in Dubai. He died at the age of 65. He suffered the heart attack when he was in Dubai with his family. He worked in fims, theatre and TV as well. He is known for his performances in films like Noorie, Shatranj Ke Khiladi, Kissi Se Na Kehna, Chashme Buddoor and many more. He was last seen in film Club 60 and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, essaying the role of Ranbir Kapoor’s father.

World Cup silver medallist Deepika Kumari, a highly ranked women recurve archer has made national record in women’s 50 metre archery in the 34th Senior National Archery Championship held in Jamshedpur. Breaking the previous record of 333 points held by Olympian L Bombayla Devi, Deepika shot 346 points. V Praneetha, a former Olympian ended second in the archery event with 332 points where as Reena Kumari had scored 322 to secure the bronze. Moving towards, the Men’s section in the individual Olympic round, Atanau Das has come up as winner. Jayanta Talukdar and Deepika Kumari, an Olympian pair has clinched the recurve mixed team event of archery.
