If you were watching the Grammys last night wondering why Chris Brown wasn't there, you'll be surprised to know why. Chris Brown was arrested last night on a "criminal threat" in Los Angeles. Brown allegedly struck a woman inside of his sports car.

News, the victim is supposedly Chris Brown's girlfriend and megastar in her own right, Rihanna. The reason why the victim wasn't identified immediately was allegedly due to Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, using an alias at a local hospital where she was treated for some visible injuries and released. TMZ.com is also reporting that Brown used a deadly weapon in the assault. The two were dating for about a year when this incident occurred.

No charges have been filed, but lawyers and insiders have said that domestic violence charges depending on the severity of the crime could carry penalties upwards of nine years in prison.
