Capt backs CBI probe demand

CHANDIGARH: Supporting the demand by Sikh preacher Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale for a CBI probe into the attack on him in Ludhiana on May 17, Punjab Congress president Captain Amarinder Singh on Tuesday took on chief minister Parkash Singh Badal for rejecting the demand. In the attack on the Sikh preacher, one of his companions was killed. "Who is the CM trying to shield? How come the police are not able to trace the real culprits when they already have clues after tracing the vehicles used in the attack?" Amarinder asked.
