Recipe Caesar’s salad

CAESAR’S SALAD
Lettuce salad toss up with caesar dressing

INGREDIENTS
Bread 2 slices

Garlic, peeled 2 cloves

Oil 1 tablespoon

Iceberg lettuce 1/2 bunch

Lollorosso lettuce 1/2 bunch

Basil leaves 5-6

Parmesan cheese 100 grams

FOR THE DRESSING

Eggs 2

French mustard 1 teaspoon

Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon

Extra-virgin olive oil 2 tablespoons

Salt

Black peppercorns 1/4 teaspoon

METHOD
Cut the bread slices into one inch sized pieces. Roughly crush garlic. Heat oil in a pan and add garlic. Add the bread cubes and sauté till bread pieces are a little crisp and browned at the edges. Remove and keep aside. Heat one and a half cups of water in a pan, bring it to boil, add eggs and boil them for two to three minutes only. Wash and tear the lettuce leaves and keep them in a big bowl. Tear the basil leaves and add to the lettuce. Add bread pieces with the garlic and toss lightly. Make cheese shavings using a peeler and add to the bowl or else grate the cheese. Break the lightly boiled eggs into another bowl and whisk well. Add mustard paste, Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, salt and freshly crushed peppercorns and whisk till well blended. Add dressing to the salad and toss lightly. Serve immediately.
