Blast in Assam train; 2 killed, 30 injur

At least two people are reported killed and at least 30 are injured in a blast that ripped through one of the bogies of a passenger train near the Diphu railway station in Assam.

The blast took place in the Lumding-Tinsukhia passenger train in the early hours of Tuesday morning. DIG, Central Range, Jeewan Singh DIG told CNN-IBN a time bomb was planted in the bogie and it went off, killing two – a man and a child.

Singh said the hardcore militant group KNLF is suspected to have carried out the blast. He said security forces were combing the rail route and feared the casualties may go up
