Bajaj Auto is aiming to price their new small car being developed in collaboration with Renault at around Rs. 1.10 lakhs.

The two companies said that they are aiming to sell the base model at a price point of around USD 2500.
Renault President and CEO Carlos Ghosn spoke about their goal: "In India, Renault and Nissan are developing an ultra low cost vehicle with the Bajaj group, benefiting from its expertise in the light vehicles and the knowledge of the Indian market. We are aiming for a price of $2,500."
The car is currently scheduled to arrive in 2012.
This model is likely to become the first solid challenger to Tata Nano which is priced around the same for the base model.

Corporates are made up to make profit.
So, if a corporate is selling it for 1.1 lakh and still making profit. This means manufactured price is less than 100K. Seeing the continuous rise in steel, rubber, oil, and even electricity prices, it seems they must be compromising somewhere. Either it will be inferior quality or compromise in quality standards like road tests, crash ratings etc etc. There is a chance that this 1 lakh cars could be a running death houses on roads.
Who will buy them? the set of ppl who aspire to have car but can't afford one, that means middle class or lower middle class.

Who is going to churn out in factories to reduce cost of production? The unspecified labor that will not be on corporate payrolls and will be working from contractor locations at half the wages. Poor class will be exploited of their poverty.

Exploitation of poor class, will end up getting death houses for middle or lower middle class and money for riches.:med
