Android 4.4 KitKat Update for Sony Xperia Z, ZL, ZR and Tablet Z now available
Sony has now started rolling out the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update for all its Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and Xperia Tablet Z devices in different markets. The company says that this update will be available in other countries in coming weeks.
Sony has shared the official change-log for this update, detailing the new features and goodies. According to the change-log this update will bring new UI improvements, performance enhancements, and much more. The full change-log has been attached below.
1. Googleβs Android 4.4; KitKat as standard
2. New user interface: Revamped Status Bar and Quick Settings, new launch animation and live wallpaper
3. Latest versions of Sonyβs entire native app portfolio:
Messaging: a few UI adjustments including a slicker βsendβ animation, and deeper Emoji support for some expressive fun
Email: Youβll be able to both load and see more mails, more responsive viewing pane, split screen modes divide info for easy digest
Smart Social Camera: A selection of Xperia Camera apps directly accessible from your viewfinder
