ee te ohi gal karti bhaji tusi k ...it is kacherra wch is must for khalsa...kacherre ch naala bhavein hove na hove lol

I couldn't understand your sarcasm........Kashera jaruri aa je ohde kol naale da koi hor better alternative aa te use kare.

same way kirpan jaruri aa......je kisse kol gatre to better alternative aa te use kare.......

I was here to make a point that gatra is not like janeu...........Purpose of Gatra and purpose of janeu are different.

Jimme hath te banne dhagge naal rakhya nahi ho sakdi, ove hi Janeu naal rakhya nahi hundi, par gatre pai kirpan naal rakhya ho sakdi. That is the sole purpose of Gatra.

Janeo is symbolic and so is kirpan.
Je bahman kehn ji eh janeo dhaaga ni rassa hai, bade kamm aaunda is layi paayi da. fer tusin hassna :p

95 saal di bebe ne gatra pa ke kehdi rakheya karni.

I strongly disagree with you that kirpan like janeu is symbolic.......Every religion has symbols, same do Sikhism. We have our Nishan Sahib.

Rahi gal 95 saal di bebe di.......again it's a hypothetical question.
Once a soldier is always a soldier.....same way once a Khalsa is always a Khalsa....soldier ta fer v retire ho jaanda...Sikh yaa te sikh rahu, yaa fer Guru nu bedava de ke bhajj ju.
Jehre retired decorated officers hunde aa ohna ne hun ta nahi jung te jaana hunda, but they do keep their dresses, gun and each award always on their dress. Same way Bebe ne je 60 70 saal kirpan naal rakhi, oh hun v rakhu....

Baba Deep Singh carried sword as a weapon for good reasons and good effect.

Today, Its carried as a symbol only, fer mannan vich ki harz hai :-?

Je Bhai ji kda vich kirpan fer ke ohnu prashaad bana rahe ta shangan-mangan hi kar rehe. kda naal yudh ta ni kar rahe.

deg ch kirpan ferni symbolic hai, that act is symbolic but not kirpan. Kirpan aj v kisse di rakhya lai varti jaa sakdi aa, bhave 6 inch di hove..........

Army aaleya ne kehra Kargil to baad koi jung larri aa...oh banduka tangi firi jaande....bandooka naal foke fire kar bade afsar mantriya nu salute mari jaande.....ohna di banduk v symbolic hogi????

^ Thanks, good share. all I want to know, is Kirpan carried as a symbol or weapon.

dekh veere , haiga taah eh weapon..but in today s world it is a our need to call it symbol, main ik example de reha
je canada or in other countries de government office, parliaments,or courts or airport or bank etc ch kirpan allow karvaniona.. then we have to say it is symbol.if we will say it is weapon , i must carry weapon, then they will never allow kirpan in public places or other places..jado taah asi kise country di government toh kirpan allow karwani hundi aa ohdo taah asi symbol kahneye aa court ch...par jado accept ho jandi aa phir asi loka nu eh weapon kehn lag jane aa.
if we say kirpan is weapon then on schools weapons won t allow .but if we say it s symbol schools can think about that,,,so it is weapon but in today s world call it symbol

i think it is a both eh symbol v hai te weapon v hai .
..kuch v kahlo concept taah same hi rehna

If its carried as a weapon then it must be battle ready, What's the point of carrying around a butter knife ?

And If worn as a harmless symbol then why not a 'Kirpan shaped pendant' and everyone is happy ?
