Lily Allen fears her wedding will be a windswept washout as hurricanes are predicted to hit Britain this weekend, but a weather forecaster has reassured her that nothing of the sort will happen.
Allen is set to tie the knot with fiance Sam Cooper near their countryside home in southwest England on Saturday.
Experts are predicting that winds of 435 kilometres per hour will hit the region around the time the couple exchange vows, and Allen is desperately hoping the reports are wrong.
In a post on Twitter, she asked British weather forecaster Lucy Verasamy: "It says there are going to be winds of 275 mph in Gloucestershire this Sat on Met Check, please tell me they're lying. It's my wedding."
But Verasamy moved swiftly to reassure the singer, tweeting back: "It's lies. Probs [probably] a glitch in their data feed. Charts/forecast have been changing everyday — bit early to call Saturday."
