Akshaye Khanna turned into a coquettish girl for a sequence in this Friday’s release No Problem.
In the movie, Akshaye and Sanjay Dutt play thieves and Anil Kapoor plays a bumbling police officer. In one scene Akshaye transforms himself into a girl to woo and fool Anil, the latter falling for the temptation lock stock and barrel.
“Yes, there is a particular scene where I am dressed up as a girl with a gaudy make-up. I think I look kind of cute and on top of that, I am speaking with a squeaky voice. I thought that it was hilarious,” Akshaye said while promoting the film.
Was it difficult to cross-dress and turn into a girl?
“Playing a woman didn’t need much of an effort because the voice (of a woman) came without much trouble to me...I think I was able to woo Anil for sure,” Akshaye joked.
No Problem also stars Sushmita Sen, Kangana Ranaut, Sunil Shetty, Neetu Chandra and Paresh Rawal. The film is a mad-cap comedy directed by Anees Bazmee of Welcome and Singh Is Kinng fame.
