The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has found that the Hindu extremist group that planned and executed the Ajmer blast of October 2007 was also responsible for the Mecca Masjid blasts in Hyderabad in May 2007.

With this, the agency has joined the dots to connect the blasts in Malegaon (September 29, 2008), Ajmer and Mecca Masjid. The CBI is also probing if the same group was involved in the Samjhauta Express blast of February 2007 in which a similar arming device was used for triggering the explosion.

After interrogating Devender Gupta, an Ajmer blast accused, for five days, the CBI today announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh on Ramchandra Kalsangra alias Ramji and Sandeep Dange alias Parmanand, who have been on the run since the blasts. The CBI has also released photographs of Kalsangra and Dange who allegedly planted the bomb at Mecca Masjid on May 18, 2007.
The CBI has already arrested Lokesh Sharma, one of the alleged conspirators. Apart from Kalsangra and Dange, three others who were part of the conspiracy—Pranav Nath Mandal, Anand Raj Katariya and Dharmendra Bairagi—are also on the run. The CBI believes Sunil Joshi, who was later murdered, too, was part of the conspiracy.

Joshi and Gupta were associated with Abhinav Bharat, the outfit which brought together Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur and Lt. Col Prasad Purohit, accused in the Malegaon blasts.

Gupta has confirmed the role of Joshi, Dange and Kalsangra in his interrogation, said a senior officer. Officials say Kalsangra and Dange were in close touch with Joshi and Gupta and the latter used to meet Pragya regularly.

The CBI investigation has found that the Mecca Masjid blast was carried out by Joshi, Sharma, Gupta, Dange and Kalsangra. Sharma had recceed the blast site and stayed in a lodge in Secunderabad for over two months. Sharma reportedly passed on the information to Joshi, Dange and Kalsangra who came to Secunderabad at least two-three days before the blast and on May 18 went inside the Mecca Masjid as visitors and placed the bombs, said an official.

The bombs were assembled in Hyderabad. “They had made four bombs for which the material was procured from Madhya Pradesh. Two of the bombs were placed at Mecca Masjid, though only one exploded, while the remaining two were used in the Ajmer blasts,” said the CBI official.

The CBI team in Hyderabad has also located the hotel in which the accused had assembled the improvised explosive device and the hotel records have been verified. Gupta’s interrogation has also revealed that he bought 12 SIM cards on the basis of forged documents from Asansol and Chitaranjan in West Bengal in 2006, sources said.

Joshi, who was mysteriously murdered in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, was associated with Pragya. It was Joshi, a former RSS pracharak, who had bought Pragya’s scooter—the same vehicle which was used to plant the bomb in Malegaon.

Joshi was shot dead by unknown motorcycle-borne men two months after the Ajmer blast while he was out for an evening walk. During preliminary investigations, police had found that four of his roommates disappeared the day he was murdered but Madhya Pradesh police did not make any progress in the case.

I personally believe, till the time this type of scum in the majority population is there, minorities will always be fearful of their existence. To save their existence every now and then minority will resort to violent/non-violent means.
As history in India has also also not been in favor of minorities. With minorities being massacred every now and then (84, 92, 02, 08), justices denied or delayed and scums of majority is left to grow without much fear, it is tough to bring peace.

There are two ways to get peace, one is by force and fear on minorities and assimilating all of them into one thread of Hindustani, then over the decade into Hindus.
Second is to cleanse the scums of majority, assure minorities by giving them justice and belief that their will be no more danger to their lives/culture and see the peace prevailing in future.
