The image of Aishwarya Rai inhaling smoke from a cigarette in the upcoming film Guzaarish has angered the medical community.
A lot of posters showing Aishwarya smoking are being used to promote the film that’s slated to release on Friday. The medical community thinks these images give a wrong message to the youth who are most likely to imitate the Bollywood stars.
To show their protest, the members of Doctors For You, which is a non-profit organization, will wear black badges on Friday, the day Guzaarish releases.
Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has rubbished the reports about Ash turning a smoker for the film. He says the scene shows Ash trying to smoke but coughing in pain after just one drag from the cigarette. So, according to him, in no way does the scene endorse smoking.
