We have had enough of her red carpet appearances and it’s really been long since we have seen Aishwarya Rai as a showstopper sashaying on the ramp for a designer. So, here is good news for all the Aishwarya fans; the lady will be the showstopper for Manish Malhotra’s upcoming fashion show at the HDIL India Couture Week.
Ash has walked the runway mainly for the launch of new Longines watch collection, a Swiss brand which she endorses. Her last catwalk for a designer was at a charity fashion show in the year 2004. She walked in a pink-dotted saree for the designer Satya Paul to raise funds for women's cancer initiative.
Manish’s show will open the fashion extravaganza on October 6. It’s a 55-outfit couture show and Ash will bring the show to an end in a contemporary bridal outfit. Recently Manish had shown his prêt a porter collection at LFW which had dresses in red and blue colours. For HDIL it is going to be just emerald green hues.
Till now several Bollywood beauties like Kajol, Preity Zinta, Genelia D’Souza have walked for Manish; Ash will do it for the first time.
