Adobe Reader app now available for Windows Phone 8 devices
Alright, so the Adobe Reader application has arrived for Windows Phone 8 users, as per an announcement by Microsoft on the Windows Phone blog.
With the Adobe Reader app on their devices, Windows Phone 8 users can open and read a variety of PDF documents, even those that are password-protected. Features like the ability to copy and paste, search the text for specific words and zoom in on a page, come built-in.
In addition to these features, users can navigate documents with thumbnails, then move on to reading page-by-page or in continuous scroll mode. The app supports hyperlinks and bookmarks, allowing users to quickly move to a specific section of a PDF document.
The Adobe Reader app for Windows Phone 8 users is up for grabs on the Windows Phone store as a free download. The app is currently only available in English.
The Adobe Reader app on Windows Phone 8 devices earlier, had been conspicuous by its absence. In fact, in November last year, it had been reported that Microsoft had resolved the situation by releasing PDF Reader, a dedicated PDF viewer for these devices.
The app allowed users of Windows Phone 8 devices to view any PDF they download to the handset, whether it is from the SkyDrive, email or via the web.
