Acer founder says Apple products are like "mutant viruses"

Acer founder Stan Shih claims he respects Apple, but insists that popular devices such as the iPad and and iPhone are little more than over-hyped mutant viruses.

According to Shih, the industry may find it difficult to treat the "virus" in the short-term, but will eventually find a way to isolate the company and become "immune."

Nevertheless, Shih told the DigiTimes that Apple deserves to be "respected," as the company maintains a "completely different" strategy
compared to other, more traditiohttp://extratorrent.com/nal PC brands.

"Steve Jobs has always been looking for revolution, while other PC brands evolved naturally and are developing products in a more solid way. But based on the historical experience, a market that evolves naturally will always turn out to be much stronger," he opined.

"[For example], Windows has attracted the adoption of most PC brands, [while] Apple's PC market has turned out to be limited, with a market share far less than the open Windows platform group."
