After UTV production house, along with filmmaker, Madhur Bhandarkar, angered the illustrious Bachchan family after going public with the financial losses they suffered when a pregnant Aishwarya Rai backed out of their movie, Heroine; the movie-makers are apparently keen to let bygones be bygones, by offering Abhishek a role in Rajkumar Gupta's upcoming Ghanchakkar.

According to our sources, UTV texted the actor about the film, with one spilling, "Abhishek is filming for Rohit Shetty's Bol Bachchan in Jaipur, and so, he has not had the time to meet them or listen to the script." Adding, "UTV has taken the first step towards reconciliation. Whether Abhishek does the film or not remains to be seen."

UTV still maintain that they tried to accommodate pregnant Ash for Heroine, but the actress says she had to quit the project for health reasons.

And now that Kareena Kapoor has stepped into Ash's shoes, the green-eyed beauty has returned her signing amount, even though she was on set for a few days, with industry insiders claiming the star felt bad after UTV and Madhur revealed her dropping out had cost them a lot of money.
