This Friday’s major releases Aakrosh and Knock Out failed to make a great start at the box office.
If Aakrosh opened to a 30-35% response, Knock Out had 15-20% collections on its first day. The first weekend collections of both the movies were also bad.
Aakrosh was a bit better than Knock Out with around Rs 7.50 crore approx over the weekend. The breakdown was Rs 2.50 crore, Rs 2.25 crore and Rs 2.75 crore respectively for the first three days. The film is expected to do business of around Rs 10.50 crore approx over its first week.
Knock Out’s weekend collection was only Rs 2.50 crore approx. The breakdown is reported to be Rs 80 lakhs, Rs 70 lakhs and Rs 1 crore for the first three days respectively. The film is a flop and if things work a little better for it, then its lifetime business can touch Rs 5 crore mark.
The first week collection of Crook: It’s Good To Be Bad was of around Rs 11 crore. The film is a dud while the small budget Do Dooni Chaar which had a poor start picked up and collected around Rs 3 crore approx in week one. The film is reported to be doing well in the Delhi/NCR area.
Coming Friday would see the release of three films - Hisss, Jhootha Hi Sahi and Rakta Charitra.
