The new Fiat Punto Evo will be offered with three engine options and seven variants

In sync with its international convention, the car will now be called Punto Evo and be made available in seven variants in India.The Punto Evo will be offered with a 1.2-litre and 1.4-litre petrol powerplant and a 1.3-litre diesel motor. Only the Active and Dynamic trims will get the smaller petrol motor while the bigger gasoline unit will only be offered in the Emotion trim. Like the outgoing Punto, the diesel will be sold in two states of tune – 76PS and 93PS (called the Punto Evo 90HP).

The base Active variant comes with body coloured bumpers, turn indicators on ORVMs, follow-me-home headlights and 14-inch steel wheels with 165/80 section rubber. It will also have automatic door locking, central locking, power steering, air conditioning, rear parcel tray and tilt steering as standard equipment.

Additionally, the mid Dynamic variant also gets Antilock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), driver seat height adjust, height adjustable seat belts at the front, front and rear power windows and electronically adjustable ORVMs. The Dynamic variant will also boast of an audio system with USB and Aux connectivity.

Only the top-of-the-line Emotion variant will get two airbags for the driver as well as the passenger. The top end variant will also sport chrome door handles, fog laps, rear defogger, rear window wiper and washer, leather wrapped steering wheel, 15-inch wheels with 195/55 section tubeless tyres. In terms of features, the Emotion will get the works including Bluetooth connectivity, steering mounted controls, climate control and even rear AC vents.

The instrument cluster on all the variants will get a digital clock, an odometer, trip meter with mileage and average speed indicator, distance to empty indicator and a service reminder. All the variants will have a ground clearance of 185mm with the exception of the 1.2-litre variants that will stand 10mm higher.

The 90HP Punto Evo Sport will get all the features of the Emotion variant with an all-black treatment to the dashboard and 16-inch alloy wheels.
