100kb download speed but 1mb plan

Sir, my internet plan is 1mb but I am only getting maximum 100kb download speed.
I have complaint many times but issue not resolved.

theek taan hai 1MB bandwidth hai. Download speed 128KBps honi chahi di hai. Ohnu 100 aa rahi hai on average. Simple formula is Badthwidth is 8 times transfer rate. TSP/ISP claim the bandwidth as download speed in order to poach customers.

haan, people get confused with bits and bytes.

the speed the give is 1Mbps (Note small "b" in Mbps b=bits) Not 1MBps (B= Bytes) so 1Byte = 8bits

so divide 1mb(1024kb) by 8 you will get 128kBps of Downloading Speed

So now you are getting around 100kBps speed which is average we get in 1mb connection and downloading speed also depend on site from where you are downloading and on other factors like SNR value,distance from exchange etc.
