we recently installed Window Server 2008 using Domain Logons, everything is working properly expect Printing services.

Printing command takes more than 1 minute to execute.

printer is not directly installed on severs. it is connected to one system on network.

please advise some solution.

Printer is shared or print server is installed ? Network ch congestion taan nahi ? check ttl for machine with printer. Switch or hub or network adapter speed are same.

Printer is shared and installed on all client machines via local port. no congestion in network. already checked the ttl.

instead of sharing, try adding it as local printer on user machines.
for that you might have to create local tcp port with printer ip and then add drivers to each machine, in end it will ask if you want to share or not, go for "do not share" as it will local to each user machine.

thats what we do here in our office, each printer is on domain and no delays ( even though domain controller is in datacenter, rather than local onsite.)

only way to solve delay probkem or like you said there will be delay depending on speed. :peeng
