The cup’s full for Kailash

Kailash Kher is on a roll internationally. The singer has notched up a collaboration with internationally renowned Algerian singer, Cheb Khaled, famous for songs such as Didi and Aicha.

Kher, who came into the limelight with his rendition of Allah Ke Bande, has been signed up for a worldwide anthem that will be associated with the upcoming football World Cup 2010 in South Africa. “It’s an anthem that’s going to be used as part of the FIFA World Cup, since the companies who’ve signed me, are official sponsors of the event,” says Kher.

Kher will also be singing with Grammy-nominated Nigerian singer, King Sunny Ade, and a European rock act, Flying Machine, for an album, which will be distributed across the world. “I’ll sing a a duet with Khaled and another song with all three artistes. The international video will feature only me and Khaled,” says Kher.

Kher and his bandmates Naresh and Paresh Kamath of Kailasa recently finished a successful US tour.
