Box office - ‘Once Upon A Time’ goes from strength to strength



The movie is attracting footfalls

With every successive day in its opening weekend, director Milan Luthria’s film Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai attracted more and more crowds and raked in decent collections during the first three days since its release on Friday.

The movie starring Ajay Devgan, Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut and Prachi Desai, got a thumbs up from critics and since then the positive word of mouth has played in its favour.

On Friday, the opening day, the movie collected Rs. 5 crore and 98 lakhs. On Saturday the collection rose to Rs. 7 crore and on Sunday it touched the 9 crore mark. The movie performed best at Mumbai with just a little under half of all collections coming from the city alone.

All in all, the opening weekend collection of Once Upon A Time in Mumbai stands at Rs. 22 crores.

Trade sources reveal that the movie might make Rs. 75 crore worldwide in its overall run. That would qualify it as a ‘hit’. The movie was produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms at around Rs. 32 crores.
