Hailing from a family that has entertained the Hindi film lover for more than a decade now, new-kid-on-the-block Arjun Kapoor has made a grand entry with debut vehicle Ishaqzaade which hit theatres a day before. It is a story of two fiery bloods played by Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, and their fight for power and supremacy.
Very few know that the handsome newbie wanted to step into the shoes of his father Boney Kapoor that is direction but destiny had planned something else for him. The actor has worked very hard for his first project and it would be interesting to know that Arjun used to do street plays in order to polish his acting skills.
Now the latest buzz is that after 'Ishaqzaade' Arjun might feature in another such play as Yamraj. ”He is very enthusiastic about street plays and wants to continue with them. He is quite excited to play Yamraj in his next street play,” said a source.
Arjun started being a part of street plays as a hobby though film making was always at the back of his mind. He wanted to follow in the footsteps of his filmmaker father Boney Kapoor, and be a director. But destiny had other plans for him. His film, directed by Habib Faisal and produced by Yash Raj Films, also features Parineeti Chopra.
Well, he certainly seems to have some long term plans for his acting career!
