Perfect Pink Lips for Your Skin Tone

Pink lips are practically universally flattering. They're easier to wear than red lips, and it's easier to find a perfect shade when compared to browns and plums. Pink has a demure quality that means you can opt for a flirtier pout instead of something more bold. Excited to try the season's new pinks, but not sure where to start? Take a walk down lipstick lane to find out which shade of pink will flatter your skin tone.

Olive.
If you have olive skin , a rose pink hue looks best on you. Rose pink is a rosy shade that has a hint of shimmer and gold, so it looks best when you get it in gloss form. Look for products that have a bit of a golden tint. Or, try slicking a gold-colored lip gloss over whatever pink shade you already have in your makeup bag.

Fair.
If you have skin that already has a pink undertone, going with a demure shade can look a tad too sweet. Instead of going the safe route, look for hot pink lips to amp up your look for a completely flattering look. A candy pink shade brings out the pink tone in your skin, but it's still a little more daring than a baby pink. If you're nervous about trying a brighter color, test it out in a balm instead. The color will be more sheer, and you can decide whether or not it's the right shade for you.

Medium.
If you have medium skin with yellowish undertones, you have the best of both worlds. You can wear light pink colors, but you can also try brighter pinks. One of the shades that'll look best on your skin is a rosy pink. It'll take some of the gold out of your skin for a brighter complexion. But since your tone is so versatile, you can test drive a ton of different shades for the best fit.
