Bipasha Basu is the Goddess of Fitness in Bollywood. One wouldn’t mind slogging it out at the gym to get a fit and curvy figure like hers. The lady talks about health, fitness and working out.

1) One must go to the gym not because everyone is doing it, but because you want to do it for your body: to make yourself fit and preserve your health.

2) Buy the right gear and clothes. Shopping for exercise wear that fits you well and makes you look and feel good will put you in the mood for exercising. Always tie your hair and don’t wear make-up to the gym. Also, read books on health and fitness to expand your knowledge.

3) I also like doing Yoga. It rejuvenates me from within. Yoga is a great way to make your body flexible. It should be done in open air premises like a garden. There is nothing better than doing Yoga in the morning. You can also go for a run in the morning, but start with a walk. Don’t over-exert yourself.

4) Once you start exercising, you will feel so energized and happy that you will get addicted to it. And the compliments that will come you way will boost your confidence and enable you to push your limits in the gym.

5) Patience is most important. Don’t expect to see results instantly. Consult your dietician or nutritionist for a customized diet and always listen to your trainer. If you are starting out, you cannot work out on your own and need a good trainer to guide you. Be honest with your trainer about your physical limitations and interest in fitness and exercise.
