Recipe Gur Ki Meethi Kadak Puri

Ingredients:
Whole wheat flour 2 cup
Grated jaggery 3/4 cup
Pure ghee + for frying 1/4 cup
Green cardamom powder a pinch

Directions:
Mix the jaggery with three-fourth cup of water in a pan and heat the mixture gently over a very low heat till the jaggery melts completely.
Strain. Place the wholewheat flour in a bowl and add the green cardamom powder.
Rub in the pure ghee till the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
Add the jaggery mixture and knead into a stiff dough.
Cover with a damp cloth and allow the dough to rest for half an hour.
Divide the dough into sixteen equal portions and shape into balls.
Roll out into three-inch puris and prick on both sides with a fork.
Heat ghee in a kadai and deep-fry the puris in moderately hot ghee till golden and crisp.
Drain on absorbent paper.
Serve hot or cold.
