Recipe (carrot raita)

Ingredients
Urad dal - 1 tbsp
Carrots - 2 (medium size), grated
Curd - 2 cups
Salt - to taste
Corriander leaves - a small bunch, finely chopped

Preparation
* Heat a saucepan and dry roast urad dal in it.
* Roast the dal until it turns brown ( ensure you dont burn the dal).
* Allow the dal to cool and powder it finely.
* In another bowl, beat curds evenly.
* Add salt and grated carrots.
* Now slowly add the powdered urad dal to this mixture , take care no lumps are formed.
* Transfer to a serving bowl.
*Garnish with corainder leaves and serve cold.

This recipe is very healthy and will suit people who wish to shed the extra pounds. No oil is used, urad dal is rich in protein, carrot is rich in vitamins and curd is a good source for Vitamin B complex. Curd is also good for people with heart problems, helps in digection, purifies blood, and keeps the body COOL.
