YouTube is set to bring support for HDR videos soon. Youtube chief business officer, Robert Kyncl, announced the same at the ongoing CES 2016.
The company also announced that it has teamed up with action camera maker GoPro. YouTube had stated last year that it will soon bring support for 360 degree videos following which it added VR video support for Android. By partnering with GoPro, YouTube will bring more 360-degree video content to its platform. In TVs, HDR refers to an expanded contrast ratio and color brightness that brings out better color and details. It even shows better details in darker part of the screen. In order to watch the HDR content, you will need a TV that supports HDR.
