All eyes are on Volition as the release date for its upcoming open-world game – Saints Row 4 – comes closer. The company has released the box art for its game, and its very different from what we've seen so far from the series. Keeping with the theme of having become the president of the US, the box art shows the main character sitting in a torn-down Oval Office, saluting, as aliens and giant monsters attack the city. One of the monster even rips off the Washington Monument.

The box art for Saints Row 4 is more interesting than the one for Saints Row 3

Just recently, the company had started a series of trailers for Saints Row 4, dubbed Hail to the Chief. The trailer, titled Saints Force One, is the first in what will be the series of trailers. The trailer doesn't really show much of the game. It just shows the main protagonist of the Saints Row series messing around with an alien with his psychic powers.

Last month, Volition had released the Meet the President trailer, which gave us a look at the powers and abilities of the main character of the game – the unnamed boss of the Third Street Saints. Quite a bit of time has passed since the end of Saints Row 3; the boss has now become the President of the United States and must fight against aliens using superpowers. The trailer pokes fun at the insane powers that the character has, as well as politics in general.

Back in March, Deep Silver had announced that Saints Row 4 will be hitting store shelves on August 20 in the US and August 23 everywhere else. The game will be making its way to the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
