Apple to dump 24 and 30-inch displays, sell only 27-inch Cin

When Steve Jobs returned to Apple from exile, he killed many R&D projects without sentiment and axed dozens of products ruthlessly. Fast forward two decades and Apple cleans up its display department by axing both 24- and 30-inch Cinema Displays.
If you’re in a market for an Apple-branded display for your Mac or PC, you’ll soon have no choice but the 27-inch LED Cinema Display, revealed Tuesday and coming in September. The existing 24-inch LED Cinema Display and top-of-the-line 30-inch Cinema Display will sell while supplies last, Macworld has learned. Apple’s vice president of hardware marketing David Moody told the publication that the new 27-incher is the way to go:
This marks the end of the road for the 24-inch and 30-inch Apple displays. According to Apple vice president of hardware marketing David Moody, those products will continue to be sold until supplies run out, at which point the new 27-inch display will be Apple’s only standalone offering.
