Biography: Anil Kapoor was born in Mumbai to a Punjabi-speaking family. His father Surinder Kapoor was a film producer, his elder brother Boney Kapoor is also a film producer while his younger brother Sanjay Kapoor also appears in Hindi films as an actor. He married Sunita Kapoor in 1984. His elder daughter Sonam Kapoor is also a film actress.

Kapoor was fan of veteran film actor Raj Kapoor and this was also visible in his acting later. He made his debut with a supporting role in Umesh Mehra’s Hamare Tumhare in 1979 and later got his leading role in Who Saat Din in 1983. He was recognized as an actor after his work in Yash Chopra’s Mashaal. This film won him his first Filmfare Award. He delivered some big hits in the mid 80s with Meri Jung, Karma and a sci-fi film Mr. India. In 1988, he alongside Madhuri Dixit delivered a super-hit film Tezaab, and won his Filmfare Award in Best Actor category. His success continued with films like Ram Lakhan and Parinda.

In 1990s he was seen in films like Kishen Kanhaiya, Ghar Ho To Aisa and Awargi. In the year 1991 Kapoor was seen in Yash Chopra’s Lamhe. The film failed to do much at the box-office but is considered a landmark film in Hindi cinema and won Kapoor a nomination at Filmfare awards. In 1992 Anil Kapoor delivered a brilliant performance in super-hit film Beta and won a Filmfare Award for his performance. In 1993 he was seen opposite Sreedevi in Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja but this film failed at the box-office. They were again seen in Laadla in 1994 and this film worked well at the box-office. He was later seen in films like Judaai, Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain and Virasat. His role in Virasat won him lot of accolades.

Kapoor’s first release in 2000 was Bulandi. In the same year he was seen in Pukar and this film won him a National award. His next commercial success was Hamara Dil Aapke Pass Hai. Later he was seen in Nayak (2001) and delivered a splendid perfomance. From the last few years Kapoor was seen in many multi-starrer films like Welcome, No Entry and Race. All these films did good business and proved Kapoor’s versatility as an actor. He was also seen in Oscar winning Hollywood film Slumdog Millionaire (2008) and Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (2011). He will next seen in Tezz, Race 2 and Shootout At Wadala.

Biography: Anupam Kher is one of India’s most prominent theatre and film personalities. He has performed over 100 plays and featured in nearly 500 Hindi Films, both commercial and non commercial. Kher was born in Shimla to a Kashmiri Pandit family. He later passed out from National School of Drama and years later served as the Chairperson of the same institution.

Anupam Kher started his career in Bollywood in 1982 with Aagman and later came into prominence with his stupendous performance in Saaransh in 1984. He was praised for his commercial roles as well. Playing villain Dr Dang in Karma (1986) got him noticed by all. He exhibited his exemplary acting skills in Daddy (1989) which won him critics’ galore. The early half of 1990s saw him winning Best Actor in comic role five times in a row which spoke largely of his meticulous sense of wit and humor.

He shifted to playing supporting roles in films like Darr, DDLJ, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Mohabbatein and Veer Zaara. Kher has always delivered noticeable performances for his brilliant sense of characters and roles. He fills a lot of life into the role he plays.

In 2005, Kher caught notice of the critics by his brilliant performance as a patient of dementia in Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara. The film went on to win accolades at many International Film Festivals.

Biography: The versatile actor was born in Mumbai and studied at a boarding school in Nashik. He worked as a door-to-door cosmetics salesman and also as a photo lab assistant just to support himself.

Following his interest in dancing, he joined Akbar Sami’s dance group, which set the stage for a bright future for him. He assisted filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt in two of his films- Thikana and Kaash. Arshad later won the Indian Dance Competition in 1991, and the following year, he finished fourth in the World Dance Championship in London in the modern jazz category. This victory opened up new vistas for him, and he started his own dance studio named ‘Awesome’. His association with Bharat Dabholkara and an English theatre group helped him bag the opportunity to choreograph the title song of Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja in 1993.

Life took a new turn for this talented actor- dancer in 1996 when he was chosen to play one of the lead roles in Tere Mere Sapne, which was being produced by Amitabh Bachchan’s production company ABCL. The film’s positive response helped Arshad Warsi gain some recognition. This was followed by a number of films in the subsequent years, all of which failed to make an impact at the box office. And then came Munnabhai M.B.B.S. in 2003, and changed things for the better! The Rajkumar Hirani film has Arshad playing the supporting role named Circuit, which went on to become of the most historical characters in the history of Indian cinema.

Thereafter, he appeared many successful films like Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, Salaam Namaste, Golmaal and Kabul Express, mainly doing supporting yet noticeable roles. Biography: Born in 1983 to a Rajput family in Madhya Pradesh, Arunoday Singh is the son of Ajay Singh, leader of opposition of MP State Assembly. His late grandfather, Arjun Singh, was the former Chief Minister and Union Minister. He completed his education from a boarding school in Kodaikanal, after which he studied in Brandeis University.

The acting bug bit Singh when he watched actor Marlon Brando in ‘On the Waterfront’. Once he completed his graduation, he studied acting in New York Film Academy and performed in many plays. A series of auditions, and soon he bagged a role in Piyush Jha’s 2009 film ‘Sikandar’. Singh played a Kashmiri terrorist in the film.

Arunoday Singh’s last released film ‘Yeh Saali Zindagi’ saw his deliver his best performance so far. The intensity and power with which he played his character alongside Irrfan Khan and Aditi Rao Hydari earned him a nomination for the Best Actor in a Supporting Role at a popular award ceremony.

Singh’s latest upcoming film is Pooja Bhatt’s erotic thriller ‘Jism 2’ opposite Canadian porn-star Sunny Leone. The film, where he plays an intelligence officer, also stars Randeep Hooda and will hit the theatres on 3rd August.
