While Nvidia struggles with GPU-killing drivers, and no DirectX 11 cards until the end of this month, AMD is riding high with performance graphics cards appearing from multiple vendors. XFX has even gone as far as unveiling a very special and limited run edition of the Radeon 5970 at CeBIT.
Called the Radeon 5970 HD Black Edition Limited, it will sport two GPUs clocked at 850MHz, combined with 4GB DDR5 RAM clocked at 4,800MHz. There’s also support for Eyefinity 6 through the inclusion of six DisplayPort connectors making six-display setups a reality.

Even if you don’t opt for a six-display array, this is going to be an expensive purchase. XFX is only going to produce 1,500 Black Editions, and the retail price is thought to be around $1,000 each. You will also need a high-end power supply to support it through two 8-pin PCI-e connectors.
The images included here (with many more available at Tweakers.net) do not show the final design as XFX is still working on a heatsink and fan to keep the two GPUs cool.
