Windows 8.1 Update 1 to include shut down option in the Start Screen



Microsoft is reportedly planning to release the new Windows 8.1 Update 1 on March 11 and before the official announcement, various leaked screenshots are surfacing on the Internet. If you remember a few days back we shared some leaked screenshots from the upcoming update which hinted that Microsoft is planning to merge Metro App with Desktop UI and today’s leaked screenshots shows additional features which will be coming in Update 1.



According to the leaked screenshots by WZor.net, it seems like Microsoft is planning to add power and search button in the Start Screen, which is currently located in the Settings page. That’s now all, the new Windows 8.1 Update 1 will also show options when you right click on any app. In Current Windows 8 those options are displayed below all apps.

The Windows 8.1 Update 1 will be a minor update followed by Windows 9 which is scheduled for the next year. Microsoft is expected to announce its plans at Build Developer Conference.
