T-Mobile Comet (Huawei IDEOS) – Affordable Android Phone

The Comet is just a T-Mobile-branded Huawei IDEOS, announced at IFA. With such as low price, you won’t expect the latest and fastest specs, though it still packs a 528MHz processor, 256MB RAM and 512MB ROM.

The Comet has a 2.8-inch touchscreen, a 3.2 Megapixel camera, GPS/AGPS support, FM radio, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity.
Comet does manage to include a decent-sounding 3.2-megapixel camera, and it’ll also be capable of USB tethering or acting as a portable Wi-Fi hotspot (although you should expect to pay extra for the privilege of sharing the Comet’s HSPA data connection).

The Comet also boasts microSD memory expansion (up to 32GB of storage is supported, with a 2GB card coming bundled in the box), assisted-GPS support, an FM radio, and—perhaps most important—the latest version of Android, 2.2 “Froyo.”

T-Mobile launches the new Comet affordable Android mobile phone that is priced at just $9.99, with a 2-year contract after $50 rebate.
