Second Life Phone Concept – Hybrid AMOLED and E Ink Smartpho

The Second Life Mobile Phone Concept works on the premise that we often forget about the battery life of our mobile phones. The life of battery is important for any cellphone, but no one has any idea how to save it.

Keeping the life of battery in mind, designed by Cho Sinhyung and Jeon Jungjae, the Second Life Mobile Phone Concept was created with the belief that battery life is the most important aspect of a smartphone.

It activate a bright AMOLED screen for regular phone tasks and then switch to an E Ink display while its on standby to conserve battery power? The result is a smartphone that could last more than one day — requiring less recharges.
The large screen also slowly turn transparent as its battery depletes itself.

This essentially means that the E-ink uses very little energy and the degree of transparency of the display shows how much battery is remaining. The more transparent the display, the less battery remaining.

Based on the concept renderings, the phone looks like it’ll run on Android and looks unrealistically thin.
